Published by dratiffarid under Uncategorized Edit This

ToothbrushPeople have always been conscious about their teeth. And that’s the way it’s supposed to be. Brushing your teeth helps maintain oral hygiene. Besides it helps remove food and plaque which can later lead to gum disease. Gum disease is a major risk factor for the development of health conditions like heart disease and diabetes.

Most stores that I’ve been to have an extensive collection of different types of toothbrushes on their shelves, including manual (disposable) and powered (electric) varieties.

#1  The best toothbrush is one that fits your mouth and allows you to reach all teeth easily.
#2  The toothbrush should have a long handle so that it can be held easily.
#3  There are 3 types of bristle varieties: soft, medium or hard nylon bristles. For most, a soft-bristled toothbrush is the most comfortable and safest choice.

#4  Always look for a manual or powered toothbrush that have earned the American Dental Association Seal of Approval.American Dental Association

#5  Electric toothbrushes are costlier but they are more effective in keeping your teeth clean.
#6  Both, the disposable as well as electric varieties are equally efficacious.
#7  It all depends on your likability and comfort level. Purchase a toothbrush that you are comfortable using.
#8  Choose a toothbrush that has a cheek cleaner on the back side of the brush, which cleans the bacteria and bad-breath.
#9  A toothbrush should be replaced every 3 months or when the bristles start to wear, whichever comes first.

#10 It is always important to replace your toothbrush if you had cold, flu, sore throat or a mouth infection recently. The microbes accumulate on the brush leading to reinfection.

Average brushing time should be 3-10 minutes each time.
