Be healthy on Christmas
With Christmas around the corner, it’s easy to lose sight of your health goals that you’ve been trying to achieve. That’s where I come to the rescue.
Tips:
#1 Keep exercising. Walking or dancing is good enough. Just don’t stay indoors. Going outside in a daylight in winter will keep you fresh for the rest of the day.
#2 Planning is very essential. Plan your Christmas meal, buy ingredients and decide as to how you are going to go about preparing the dishes.
#3 Do not eat a lot of chocolates. Fruits are good to eat.
#4 Eat a lot of vegetables and decrease your meat content.
#5 Don’t drink alcohol before the party. Make sure you have it later in the day. Also, if you have had a lot of chocolates, avoid alcohol. Your liver is responsible for sugar absorption (from chocolates) as well as alcohol breakdown. When both are present, your live favors sugar absorption, so alcohol stays in your system for a longer duration.
#6 Have a large bowl of Vitamin B enriched cereal in the morning. This is to counteract its depletion by alcohol intake.
#7 Drink a lot of water before the party. This is to ward off dehydration and possible hangover symptoms.
#8 Get enough sleep before the party. It’ll keep you fresh.
Merry Christmas!
